I wanted to join Adam in co-founding Evergeen after watching my dad struggle to coordinate my grandmother’s care following her Parkinson’s diagnosis. Grandma Yvette has always been an exceptionally strong person and a meticulous organizer, growing out of her fight to come to the United States from Syria as a teenager. But, even she needed help coordinating care across all of her doctors. Medicare pays for her care, but my father needs to keep track of it all. For too many Americans, a prescription from a neurologist that doesn’t pair well with a medication prescribed by a gastroenterologist means a life-threatening side effect and a trip to the emergency room. At Honest, we aim to change that.

My motivation to start Evergreen came from watching my Dad as a primary care physician. Like many other doctors, at one point in his career he began to experience burnout from high levels of stress, not being able to take care of his patients the way he wanted, and not being compensated properly, which led him to go into hospital administration. Eventually, he was able to go back to his first love, taking care of patients. I founded Evergreen because of my belief in empowering primary care doctors, and through the experience with my own father, I know this is the best way for people to receive care.

It’s not often that you get the opportunity to co-found a company that changes the way whole populations receive care. I wanted to help start Evergreen because I believed our mission would help patients have the kind of care and respect they deserve. If we are going to best take care of our patients, we have to get deep into the community and become a crucial part of the neighborhood. Evergreen works to improve patients' lives – I’m grateful to be part of the team that enables this vision.

I’ve spent several years working in the kidney care space, and I have a keen awareness of the significant need to transform health care.
No company has ever approached care for kidney disease patients like us. Evergreen wants to change the landscape objectively, allowing patients to have a different experience, while being more involved in their own care.
Our model allows physicians to care for their patients with more capacity, through a clinical team approach. Care is led by nephrologists who are supported by a clinical team that complements and adapts to their patient’s needs.
Because of Evergreen, I believe that patients will have better outcomes and physicians will continue to grow their practices.

I am proud to set the clinical strategy and oversee clinical quality outcomes and the care teams at Evergreen. I was a practicing nephrologist and I loved being a clinical doctor, but I felt I never had the chance to really affect population health. My own father had ESRD and crashed into dialysis. For these reasons, I wanted to be a part of real change.
The goal at Evergreen is to improve the quality of life of patients, to slow their kidney disease, and to meet the patient where they are. When you have insight into the whole person, you can offer more proactive care, which leads to better outcomes and a better quality of life.
At Evergreen, we are building a new system that will improve the quality of both our patient’s and our doctor’s lives.

Having worked in the health care space for a very long time, specifically in value-based care, I have the knowledge and experience to know what works and what doesn’t. I enjoy working with the intelligent people at Evergreen, as they put nephrologists at the center of care and work to make the lives of patients better.

I am excited to be with Evergreen so early in their growth and to focus on compliance so important. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and to drive the industry forward by putting providers first. At Evergreen, we are making sure nephrologists have what they need to truly care for their patients.

Working with Evergreen gives me an opportunity to help transform health care from a fee-for-service to a value-based model. As a doctor, I am proud that Evergreen focuses on great outcomes with a cost-effective approach for our providers.
Evergreen provides wraparound services that allow nephrologists to manage a patient’s care before they become critically ill. When a practice partners with Evergreen, they are better able to provide every patient with the time and quality of care they deserve.
I have family members who are living with chronic kidney disease and a sister who had a kidney transplant, so this area of medicine is very important to me.
The culture of this organization is phenomenal and the passion for patients is unmatched. The Evergreen mission is something all of us can rally around and I am proud to be a part of it.
